I’ve had the loyalty card for a while now, since maybe last year, or the year before, I can’t remember, but it really doesn’t feel like it gets me much anymore. The points add up so slowly, and when I finally try to use them, the rewards don’t seem worth the effort. It used to feel like a nice little perk, but now it mostly feels pointless.

I feel a bit embarrassed admitting how often I grab these when I can’t be bothered cooking, but they’re not bad. The pizzas and frozen chicken are usually tasty, but some of the meals can be a bit bland or watery. For the price, the quality is alright, it’s just not always consistent every time...

"Nice shop, but a few items came damaged"
I’ve ordered from this shop before after my sister recommended it to me, and overall I do like it. The selection is good and the ordering process was easy, but this time a few of the items arrived damaged. It was disappointing because I was looking forward to using them right away. Still a decent shop, but I hope they improve the packaging a bit...

Most of the things I go in for are usually in stock, which is great. Every now and then a few frozen items are missing, but nothing too frustrating… just one of those things, I guess.

I contacted customer service about my issue the replies were so slow. I think I checked my email about five times while making coffee and feeding the cat, and still nothing. When they finally did respond, the problem still wasn’t sorted, so I’m frustrated.

I ordered from Iceland and to be fair the food turned up fine, everything was there, nothing missing, and the driver was polite enough so I can’t really complain about that side of it.
The only annoying bit was it was about 40 minutes late and I’d stayed in waiting around for it, which wasn’t ideal, it’s not the worst experience ever but it wasn’t great either, I’d probably use them again but hopefully next time they actually stick to the delivery slot.

"Delivery slots are tough to catch"
I like the idea of the service, but getting a delivery slot has been really frustrating. By the time I go to book one, they’re usually already gone. I get that busy times fill up, but if delivery is a main part of the service, there really needs to be enough availability for customers to use it when they actually need it.

"Checkout was fine, but felt a bit impersonal"
I used iceland.co.uk for my weekly shop and the checkout was okay overall, but it wasn’t the smoothest experience. The pages took a while to load, and I had to double-check my delivery slot again before paying, which was a bit annoying when I was just trying to get it done.
The payment did go through in the end, and the confirmation email came straight away, so there wasn’t any major problem. It just felt a bit clunky and impersonal, like I was more of a ticket number in the system than an actual customer trying to finish my order quickly.

As someone who orders online often, this was really frustrating. The payment went through and the money was taken from my account, but the order never actually got created. Now I’m stuck trying to figure out what happened and how to get my money back

"I’ve had such a frustrating time with..."
I’ve had such a frustrating time with the Iceland app lately. It keeps freezing while I’m adding things to my basket, and then just crashes completely when I get to checkout. I had to redo my order twice and ended up losing my delivery slot, which was really annoying. i like shopping with Iceland, but the app just isn’t reliable enough for me right now.

"Packaging could’ve been a lot better"
My Iceland order arrived in rough shape, to be honest. A couple of the bags were split, some items were all squashed together, and I’m fairly sure a few of the frozen bits had made the cardboard wet.

It kind of felt like it had just been packed in a rush, or like not much care had gone into it. I know these things can happen, but when you’re paying for delivery, you do expect it to turn up in decent condition. I’d probably think twice about ordering again if it happened another time...

"Frozen order was mostly okay"
The frozen stuff showed up basically fine, which was the main thing I cared about. A few of the boxes were a bit crushed, not totally smashed or anything, just kind of beat up around the edges. I guess shipping frozen items is always a little tricky, like you wonder if it got tossed around or sat somewhere too long, but everything still seemed usable when I unpacked it.

"Nice driver, but delivery was a little late"
The driver was friendly and polite, and we chatted for maybe a minute or two, which was nice. The only downside was the delivery showed up a bit late, maybe around 10 or 15 minutes past when I expected it. Overall, not bad, just kind of average.

"Fresh items were a bit disappointing"
Delivery turned up on time, so that part was fine, no drama there. But a few of the veg items were already a bit soft when they arrived, and the salad smelled off by the next day, which was... not ideal. The frozen stuff was totally fine, but the fresh groceries definitely brought the whole order down. I’m sure it happens, but yeah, not the best experience.

Most of my order arrived fine, but a couple of items were wrong and one was missing. The refund was sorted in the end, which I appreciated, but it was still a bit frustrating. I was expecting clearer instructions on what to do when something is missing or incorrect, as the process wasn’t super obvious.

"They sorted my complaint so quickly"
I was frustrated at first, but the staff dealt with my complaint really quickly and that made a big difference. Once they fixed it, I felt a lot better about the whole situation. Happy with how it turned out in the end

One item was missing from my order, so I contacted them for a refund. I’m always a bit wary when companies start using those polished “we value your patience” type replies, and they weren’t exactly quick to respond either. But to be fair, the money was back on my card after about 3 days, so it did get sorted in the end

"Delivery was fine, but the lack of updates isn’t good enough"
I ordered from iceland.co.uk and, to be fair, the delivery did turn up okay in the end. The problem was everything leading up to it. The communication was really poor, and I don’t think customers should be left guessing once they’ve placed an order.

I wasn’t getting proper updates, and the tracking didn’t really make things any clearer. When I tried to find out what was going on, it just felt like I was waiting around with no straight answer. If there’s a delay or an issue, that’s fine, but at least be upfront about it.

Customer service did eventually get back to me, but it was slow and didn’t really help much. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but Iceland need to take more responsibility for keeping people informed. A basic level of communication should be expected, not something customers have to chase for.
